In the year 1600 AD the Turkish Empire had a Census of the Palestinian Territory, which included what is today Israel-Jordan. This Census indicated that the population was 60% Jewish, 25% Muslim, 15% Christian and others. Also, this Census indicated that the OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM was 80% Jewish, 15% Muslim, 5% Christian and others. Therefore, the Jewish People are the real Palestinian. NO doubt about in my mind! The Republicans wanted to run Bill Clinton out of office for what he did in the Oral Office. George W. Bush invaded Iraq and killed thousands of innocent Iraqis and also is responsible for the deaths of thousands of American soldiers, all without moral justification. Harry Truman was a better husband to Bess than Bill to Hillary, but that's no surprise.
Now, Truman dropped the first atomic weapons ever used in human history on two Japanese islands, killing thousands of innocent Japanese women, nursing babies, and old grannies, maimed thousands more, and induced cancerous tumors in thousands more than that. Also, that act unleased the nuclear arms race.
What, sir, would be wrong if our Blessed U.S. President, Truman, had not dropped the A-bombs, we'd lost the war, and now were eating sushi rather than McDonalds hamburgers, speaking Japanese, and dating and marrying HOT Asian women?
The war-mongering acts of Truman and W Bush are justified only by the following Philosophical Principle of American Just War theory: "Why do dogs lick their balls? Because they can."
Had we lost World War II, Truman would have been tried as a war criminal in Tokyo, convicted, and hanged from his little neck until dead. Same with W Bush, who also is an uncharged war criminal.
The "conservatives" tried to run Clinton out of office because he lied about sex. W Bush lied about WMD and he's still not been prosecuted. And Harry Truman is probably the biggest war criminal of all, apart from Adolph Hitler himself.
So, those high school 17 to 18-year-old girls actually had a good point which you might want to think about in your Masters of Art program. Perhaps they felt they had to shout their points at you because you so obviously have a Morally Tin Ear when it comes to the evaluation of the morality of American military intervention. Perhaps if you actually listened to what the young people were saying you might actually learn something.

It took Barry Hussein Obama to kill Osama. Barry Obama to "lead the world from behind" with Smart Warfare, Drone Attacks on Terrorists (even a U.S. citizen who some bleeding hearts claim should have been arrested and tried in a courtroom), spending only $1 billion of U.S. money to topple Col. Quaddafi, and pulling all U.S. troops out of Iraq in the next year.
I suspect your questioning the value of formal education is based on the sorry example of Mission Accomplished George W. Bush aka Alfred E. Newman. But Barry Obama's another story, as I'm sure you'd agree if you actually got some informal education rather than always relying on your experience in yo' Daddy's barnyard.
You are what is known as an uneducated, unthinking-man's conservative who desires to conserve your unused brain cells by not exercising them in formal education.

Israel has not been a nation since Solomon died. In fact, according to the OT The tribe of Judah and the Samarians, the tribes of Israel including Joseph's son's ancestors warred against Judah and took several hundred thousand Jews as slaves.
Eventually, invaders came and not only burnt down the Temple but also took almost all of Judah parts of Benjamin into captivity.It wasn't long when the israelites and their king in samaria were aslo taken into captivity.
One day the judeans and parts of benjamin were allowed to return and rebuild their temple, but not only were the rest of the tribes not present, many had mixed with gentiles in samaria and they only observed the pentateuch and not any of the other dogma that judah practiced.
The judeans did not call themselves Israel because Israel no longer existed.
It did not exist during the time of Rome, in fact there were six kingdoms, Perea, Judea, Samaria, decapolis and..? the romans lumped them all in under the name phillistine or palestine.
After an unsucessful rebellion the prophecy of Yehuda came treu and the temple was razed to the ground.
Suppose the property you own here in the USA, an American Indian tribe were to make a claim, lies on holy land and they want it back? Now you know yourself, that land was taken not more than a couple hundred years ago and not thousands.
Are you going to argue that those making the claim didn't really have a tribe 200 years ago, or had no holy place, or maybe were not even Indians at all but instead mixed with vikings from 100 years before we took the land?Or the name of the land they gave it was really not correct?
It's pointless.And this would be a dispute only 200 years old? Noone was living in Jerusalem 3000 or 2000 years ago that can be an accurate eye witness and even if they were, chances would be a lawyer would undo their testimony.
What if all this arguing don't really amount to anything and that being Jewish or Christian is becoming the sons of God in a spiritual way and discarding all the symbols, meaningless quarrels of land, dogmas, chants and leaving all those things the heathens embrace for a new Way, God's Way.
No one can really make sense of why things happened the way they did, but they shouldn't be used as an excuse to rob and take with impunity because I don't think God loves a thief either?
Everything you or anyone could ever desire He would give to you if you came to Him and asked.
Almost everything that comes from I or We, the self, is in opposition to God. Who can stand against God after all?
Please don't misconstrue what I am saying about the land called Israel now. God causes it to rain on the good and the evil, who am I to know what His Will is concerning these matters?
I just know in my heart that much heart ache, division, suffering, death and hatred have sprung from that well.And the truth of the matter has not always been considered except as an after thought.
What if the descendants of the converted jews in the time of Esther, living in Iran ,where to claim their share of what is now Israel. Would they be treated also like the arabs who lived and roamed those lands since anyone could remember?

Bob, This is a very important piece of literature. I am working on my Masters and I am currently working as a substitute teacher to make ends meet. I am a Vietnam Infantry War Veteran, highly decorated, including a Purple Heart. This spring, I was addressing a Psychology class, that was studying serial killers. I compared Hitler, Mussolini and Hirohito having the same mentality as serial killers. I was shouted down by two 17-18 year old girls that were defending Hirohito. It cause a short classroom debate, which I stopped as soon as I could. The girls said America was guilty of killing innocent Japaneses. I tried to explain there was a lot more to it that what they know. I even asked them where did they learn their history about World War II but they were having none of it. Bottom line, they filed a complaint saying I was racist against all Asians,which as you know includes over fifty countries and cultures in the region and despite the fact that Hirohito ordered his thugs to butcher millions of Asians. I was kicked out of the high school and told the seniors in high school are to young to hear what I was saying.How about that? I will keep this writing forever with me so I can show the students. The invasion would of included my uncle and my father, I guess the girls don’t care the bomb saved their lives and many more Americans?!

I’ve noticed your misleading and bigoted comment on various blogs and I will take some time to provide refutations to conclusions you’ve drawn about Islam. I will only respond to your attacks on the religion of Islam and on our Prophet and will leave out the ‘Muslims in the West’ debate as I doubt that will have an effect on your xenophobia.

I implore you to read the biography of the Prophet Muhammad before calling him a ‘murderous warlord’. If you had done so you would have found out the battles he fought were in defense of his people and land from enemies who wanted to destroy him. You would have found out that even during battles he practiced ethics of the highest level. He prohibited the attacking of civilians, non-combatants, women, children, elderly and monks. He prohibited attacking places of worship and destroying sources of food such as trees.

If you read about him then you would have learned that he exercised unparalleled mercy towards prisoners of war and allowed the rich among them to buy freedom and the poor were set free without having to pay. You would have also learned that after the battle with the Meccans, the people that oppressed him for a decade, he freed everyone without retribution and honoured the very people that had once mocked and tortured him.These my friend are not qualities of a ‘murderous warlord’.

As for your ’5 key aspects of Islam’,

1. Beliefs: The fundamental tenant of Islam is the belief in One God. To recognize that He alone is the creator of the heavens and earth and thus he alone has the right to be worshiped. It is also to believe in all the Prophets of God and to recognize Muhammad as His final messenger. The rationality and the simplicity of Islamic monotheism is what makes it stand out from the rest; these beliefs couldn’t be further from being ‘mystical’.

2. It is true that there is no separation of religion and the state in Islam. The sign of a true religion is that it comes with moral codes not only for the individual but for the state as a whole. It is quite misleading to call such a system ‘totalitarian’, keeping in mind the negative implications of that term. If Islam was totalitarian then it wouldn’t have allowed freedom to practice other faiths. In fact, non-muslims in an Islamic state are not even subject to shariah restrictions. For eg they are allowed to buy and sell alcohol while the muslims cannot. Also, a totalitarian system does not allow the people to choose their leader; something the Islamic electoral system mandated 1400 yrs ago.

And yes, all muslims do believe in the Shariah. 70% of the shariah deals with matters of worship; how to pray, fast, perform pilgrimage,give the annual charity etc. 20% of it deals with Business transactions with are based around the prohibition of interest. 5% percent deal with dietary laws and the remaining 5% has guidelines relating to running the state.

3. Your baseless allegation that Islam in some way promotes violence is refuted by the verse in the Quran which states that whoever takes an innocent life has taken the sin of killing all humanity and whoever saves an innocent life takes on the reward of saving all humanity (5:32). Also, the Prophet Muhammad said, “I will be the opponent of one who harms a non-Muslim, and I will speak against those whom I oppose on the Day of Judgment”. The Quran always encourages us to opt for peace as it states,“If they [your enemies] incline towards peace then you should likewise incline and place your trust in God. Surely, He hears and knows all.” (8:61)

4. This point simply demonstrates your ignorance of the Islamic sciences and history. Explaining it is beyond the scope of this response and probably that of your intellect.

5. If Islam is in fact misogynistic, then it wouldn’t have raised the status of the mother over the father. It wouldn’t would have allowed women to inherit property or own land…something that western women weren’t allowed up until the 19th century. It also wouldn’t have allowed for the freedom to choose their spouses and conduct business. Did you know that the Prophets first wife, Khadija, was a rich business woman who was 15 years his senior and who also proposed to him? Did you know this his last wife, Ayesha, was a scholar of the Islamic sciences, a military leader and an adviser to the Caliph? Obviously not; for if you knew these facts then you wouldn’t have made such horrendous allegations.

Conclusions? You are a racist ignorant who knows nothing about Islam.
